In recent weeks I have seen stories on local TV telling of the Viticulture (Wine Grape) and Horticulture (Landscape Plantings) efforts in Oregon and hammering in the importance of these industries to the economy and how much skill, ability and work is involved.

What wasn't mentioned in either story was how these industries are totally dependent on what many call Illegal Alien workers and what most in their trades call Migrant Workers, even though most of them keep crews working almost all year.

In my book the showings were intended to grease the pan to legalize the Illegal Aliens, but that direct pitch was left unsaid.

What was mentioned but not emphasized was the Chemicals both of these industries use in their daily operations.

Curious why our Oregon based environmentalists haven't shown any concern with these Labor Intense industries that are also Chemical Intense.

As a result of Arturo's poor driving ability (or use of drugs) he and his pals were caught with Half a Million Dollars worth (wholesale) of Cocaine and Meth.

They will be doing some serious time.

The second JAVIER DOMINGUES ORTEGA who as a result of his poor driving ability was caught with a van loaded with 6,000 counterfeit audio CDs and DVDs.

Please consider how few OSP Officers we have and how many Criminal Mexicans likely complete their travels with their Imported Contraband and then go about living the high life in the USA.

Next, consider how our Political Leadership demands we Embrace their Criminal Diversity and to blindly accept the results.

To think the couple is believed to have been left there unattended, dead and injured for over an hour.

It wasn't all that long ago a Hit-and-Run motor vehicle incident (running is not an accident) was a rare occurrence.

However, today its become common as is the tragedy they leave.

Its also common for them to involve a driver who was drunk, uninsured, unlicensed and often an Illegal Alien or someone of the Turd World Meth culture that has been fostered in the US by the Invasion of Illegal Aliens.

My problem is how their story will likely never be told and the families loss and suffering will slip into history without many ever noticing.

Not in my case as I appreciate their losses and will continue doing all I can to expose the failure of our State Government to protect its citizen taxpayers.

What many of the proponents of 49 seem to forget is there many limiting factors that will restrict any willy-nilly land development the Socialists predict will occur under Measure 37 and Water availability is likely the greatest of the bunch.

It isn't so much the volume of water (as we can't find in Central and Eastern Oregon) as its often the water quality.

A perfect example is found in many areas of the Willamette Valley today where the water table is subject to Volcanic Gases, High Mineral content and Ag Chemical Pollution, all which make it unusable for human use or consumption.

I don't expect most New Home owner/builders would want to live with Rotten Egg Shower Water, Sprinkler Water that turns their dwellings and yards rusty brown, Ice Cubes that include a dose of Diarrhea and fear of their children suffering from Nitrate Poisoning.

Even if the water is treated its still lousy at best.

Zoning is only one of the road blocks Home Builders face. Buyers demands and health regulations will limit who develops what and where.

Presently the estimated total time for OSP and ODOT to complete this Sunday afternoon traffic accident study on I-5 will only be near 5 hours and 15 minutes.

A few years ago the Police would have arrived on the scene, made some notes, made some sketches, snapped a few Polaroids, taken driver, witness and vehicle info and kicked the debris to the side of the road as the ambulances left thus allowing traffic to resume its normal flow as Soon as Possible.

Not today, as some bureaucrats have decided to make almost every accident a Federal Case and call in "The Investigators" equal to what we see in Hollywood productions.

Why not? The taxpayers are paying for the over-time and today's event will put some of the Investigators a little closer to that New vacation home in Sunriver.

Of course this plays into the hands of the Socialists who want to create a Oregon Utopia as directed by the Manhattanites that run Oregon's government.

A 25 year old Hispanic man was found dead at the Pleasant Valley Grange Hall in Multnomah County.

Officials are having difficulty identifying the victim and gaining more information due to a language barrier and many of the witnesses having left prior to Police arriving at the scene.

News has it Governor Kulongoski explained in his speech Tuesday that he favors giving "Driving Privileges” (driver licenses) to workers (illegal aliens) who are not able to obtain an Oregon Drivers License because of their having identification issues (problems).

To the best of my understanding, the only difference between an Oregon Drivers License and an Oregon Driver Privilege would be the latter could not be used for Identification purposes.

So Teddy believes the Illegals will follow his rules and will not use something for purposes other than indicated in print.

The majority of the segment was devoted to showing us how the highly labor intensive industry goes about growing and hybriding (grafting) a tree from a simple bud and to the point it is balled and ready for market.

And yes 99% of the people seen toiling away were our friends from South of the Border.

However, at the end of the story they shifted to a laboratory setting where it was explained how much of the early and more effort and hand skill demanding parts of the process can now be eliminated with using modern science rather than employing stoop labor.
