Maybe its just to simple?

The easiest and quickest way to solve our unemployment, air pollution, energy consumption and traffic congestion problems (issues) without having to build new industrial and transportation infrastructure is to simply reduce the work-week to four days and the work-day to six hours.

The extra 2 Free-hours a day would allow us more time to pray towards Mecca and 52 Free-Fridays to celebrate the birth of Barack Obama-Soetoro.

So that's the plan

Require all our young people (who think themselves invincible) to pay into the Medical Insurance Pool and its their money that will support those others who will be non-contributing additions to the program.

Then shave some off the Medicare program as spending money on Seniors is a bad investment long-term and bingo, Obamacare lives!

It makes sense to me!

American Greeting Cards was #1 on the New York Stock Exchange today with an almost 30% increase in stock value.

They of course specialize in selling Greeting Cards and other forms of Social Expression products.

I can understand why, as Sympathy cards must be selling well.

But if they really wanted to have a winner all they need is to offer small envelopes of chicken manure as items of Social Expression that are pre-addressed to our Elected Officials in Congress.

Just what we don't need!

Headlines proclaim the new $40 million Kroc (Salvation Army) Center will give Salem's economy "a shot in the arm."

Yes, but is that shot of a Legal Drug?

A new $40 million dollar Salvation Army Center is all well and good, but Salem doesn't need another facility to draw more people who are in need.

We already have several new Goodwill and St. Vincent DePaul stores along with many other non or not-for-profit service organizations in town and as it was reported in the StatesmanJournal newspaper the other day, Salem has become a Mecca for the downtrodden and to such degree the IRS recognizes the population's income disparity with surrounding communities.

But with Portland welcoming the wealthy then its only fair that Salem become the refuge for the refuse.

That will bring a Balance of Diversity to the state with it several degrees of separation.

Had me fooled!

Have you seen what is obviously an expensively produced TV commercial promoting the Oregon Tax Amnesty?

Can we assume that impression speaks to the ability of video production students attending one of our publicly funded universities and their professors?

Just maybe the actor is a patient on leave from the State Prison or Mental Hospital.

Waste not, want not.

The Obama Clan wants to Bail Out Newspapers?

Why not have all large government organizations just hire unemployed News Reporters and have them create print and teleprompter ready stories that are pre-spun to protect the agency? Think of all the energy savings that would result from such an inside-connection.

What, you say they already do that?

Then why not allow Government Employees to help the Newspapers with delivery of their publications, using publicly owned vehicles and during their working hours?

What, you say Salem, Oregon's only newspaper the StatesmanJournal already does that?

Then all we have left is to give Newspapers all the money we don't have left.

The case of Brooke Wilberger's disappearance has been solved.

That is what I wanted to know, but not what I wanted to hear.

Does that make sense?

Enough!

I'm tired of TV News folks reporting the Victim of the violence is now in the Hospital recovering from their wounds, but so far have refused to cooperate with the Police investigation.

So just maybe we taxpayers who are usually picking up the tab, refuse to cooperate with their calls for Pain Medication.

Why needlessly expose them to a potential of addiction to prescription pain meds.

Don't ya love it!!

Images, images, that's what its all about.

Wasn't all that long ago our local public transit system the Cherriots was enjoying the good life with money to burn but then they lost two ballot measures for Huge increases, one after the other.

They were thinking Salem was near enough to Portland to score some Big Transit Bucks and hopefully near equal what the Salem Fire Department had then recently landed.

The end result of that was service cut-back after service cut-back and I might guess the last round was intended to inflict some pain on the taxpayer dog that bit them as many routes were completely eliminated rather than reduced to a split shift.

So now its time to look poor and here we have them using Duct Tape to re-mount a dirty old poster on an abandoned bus shelter.

What ya bet they made a special trip to Home Depot just for one roll.

So just who got Stimulated?

Golly, were those jobs saved with the State of Oregon borrowing money in the guise of Economic Recovery going to City Employees that might otherwise be laid off as a result of our bad economy.

So how many New Construction Inspectors are pouring concrete and who is Inspecting their work?

The Loneliness is Over! Vote Yes

Thanks to the City of Salem I have more company as the New Senior Center where old folks like me can access taxpayer funded resources now includes everybody of 50 years of age and older.

Yep, you don't need to wait till you are 65 years old to cash on City Provided Social Services any longer.

To think with government enjoying a population under 25 that has been brain washed by the schools and those over 49 on the Social Services hook they don't have many in-betweens to worry about.

Are we being appreciated or not?

Visiting several retailers today I was told when leaving (after paying for my purchases) . . . to have a nice day.

No longer do I hear them say "Thanks for coming in today" or "Thanks for shopping here today." Nope, its all just "have a nice day."

What, do they expect my day will improve after leaving their place of business?

Another Wonder of the World

Amazing it is that after cutting $1.5 million from their annual budget by eliminating 7 bus routes and forcing many users to drastically alter their travel methods, Salem's Cherriots (transit system) has been able to retain drivers who have recently immigrated to the US and are yet unable to understand simple directional instructions given to them over the radio system . . . in English.

Are we to assume its more efficient to import drivers from the Ukraine to serve passengers who speak only Spanish?

Ah diversity!

But not to worry!

Headline: Americans could be fined up to $3,800 for failing to buy health insurance

I'm certain Obama will borrow enough money from the Chinese to cover your fine and then add it to your portion of the National Debt.

Percent wise it won't really amount to all that much.

Its a Sad Day in the USA

When a good number of my fellow Citizens fear our President delivering a speech to our nation's school children.

My greatest concern is that he wants to.

Look at the New Me!

I am no longer Oregon's #1 Racist Bigot.

That thanks to the many Headline News Stories telling of the many dastardly deeds inflicted on our society by members of the Hispanic male population, most of whom we later learn are Illegal Aliens.

Its not unusual for a local TV News show to fill their Bleeding Leading 10 minute intro with stories where the Most Wanted subjects are Hispanic males and in follow-up stories (we later see in print) explain the perpetrators are being retained in Jail on Immigration Holds.

The capper for lots of Liberals is the story about another Hispanic Male who enters a popular retail establishment and repeatedly rubs his private parts against a 6 year old girl while her mother was only feet away.

Take a look for yourself: http://www.kptv.com/news/20710635/detail.html

Mom out shopping with the kids at Nordstrom's?????

Sometimes I hate being found right.

Oh to be green!

So if the City either allows or requires you to cut down a dead or diseased tree in the parkway of your home and then requires that you re-plant it with a similar tree, you then need not worry about how to get it water during the coming Summer months as the City will handle that for you . . . Free.

How else can the City gain National recognition and designation of being a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation.

http://www.arborday.org/programs/treeCityUSA/index.cfm

The other City employee did their part with setting the traffic cones and now waits in the cab for their coworker to finish the task.

P.S. In years of observation I have never seen their water tank more than 1/2 full. Curious? Perhaps the extra weight kills their gas mileage?
