The price of gas would cut into ammunition sales.
TV News folks in the Portland area have not been able to report Live from a Shooting Scene for over a week.
Pity is that simple beatings, stabbings and machete hacking just don't deliver the level of excitement as a good old shoot-out killing.

But its so . . . White!
The World Beat Festival is going full blast this weekend at Salem's beautiful Riverfront Park.
Its a wonderful, uplifting and gala event attended by hundreds of Gringo moms, dads and children with walkers, strollers and joggers in tow.
There you will see the many performers wearing native garbs and costumes from across the world (looking much as they do in National Geographic) which include many wearing silly hats and where you get to hear pan flute players while dining on $12.00 worth of oddly flavored noodles.
Embracing diversity X-gen style
But that's not all as from there you can look across the river to the West and into the much larger Wallace Marine Park.
That is where you will find twice as many people all Speaking Spanish who have become dominant by shear number and are noisily involved in numerous soccer games that's winners may be decided later tonight in a knife fight or two.

Road Rage Not!
The Salem area (predominantly NE or Mexalem) of late is suffering what is being reported to 911 as Motor Vehicle Accidents (sometimes involving three or more vehicles) where they immediately evolve into what Police Dispatchers described as likely Road Rage Incidents when in fact they are Deliberate Rammings as part of a Hispanic Gang Fight.
Nope, not an accident.
Earlier this evening there was such a street fight following a reported MVA on Hawthorne St. NE and then a bit later another more violent and bloody fight at Portland Road NE and Hazelgreen Rd. and both involving different vehicles. Witnesses report there were some in the second fight that sustained heavy and very bloody wounds.
Minutes later a call was made to 911 for help with an assault victim at a residence in Silverton.
Yes, I have little doubt that we Oregon Citizens will be stuck again with paying the medical bills.
Thankfully, in most cases all the Gang Fighters and their vehicles have left the scenes by the time Police arrive and thus we are able to avoid having to suffer more multi-hour road closing accident investigation.
No broken vehicles = no accident. No victims = no crime. There could be a littering charge for leaving all the broken car parts on the roadway.

So when do we learn?
That Reflectivity coming from Millions of Solar Panels is over-heating the atmosphere to such a degree that its causing toxic levels of ozone to build-up which is depleting oxygen content and also creating extremely violent weather conditions.
And when that happens will it be as Kermit said, tough being Green?

I don't suppose he really knows . . .
The O-man said; He supports people having guns, providing they keep them lawfully.
But its already lawful for Citizens to own a gun.
So what provisions does he have planned for we Citizens to "keep them legally?"
Special licensing and registration perhaps?
I don't suppose he really knows . . . but his handlers do.

We are a little over 30 days away!
That from the second year anniversary when the Mentally Disabled Adult Male began his On-the Job education as an Intern Newspaper Tosser delivering the StatesmanJournal's Wednesday "Free Shopper Rag."
During this time a lot has changed. The State Employee drivers have come and gone as have the assistants who ride along in the front passenger seat as have the vehicles with them now riding on a pretty new 2008 Chevrolet.
To think this all started when the price of gas drove the private contractor out of business. Two years ago. What a weasel that balked at $2.00 something gas!
The only things that seems to have remained constant are the license plates on the vehicles and the Student Intern who has after all this time become quite proficient with the Free Fish Wrapper Toss.
The taxpayers only hope in that none of our elected officials will challenge DHS, is the StatesmanJournal will finally sink below the water line and thus end this waste of taxpayer money.
Here is some history:
Its all Downhill from there!
It should be noted that on the day Oregon Governor Ted Kulongowski rode a (borrowed) bicycle from his State provided residence the TV news people only reported his activity in the AM.
I'm curious as to why we TV News viewers didn't see any video of his return trip that afternoon when the return path is . . .Up Hill?
All we saw was Teddy doing what he does best and that putting the brakes on forward movement.

The Gathering of Turkeys!
When surveying just who it is that makes up the Liberal Ranks one will soon will discover they are a collection of perverse zealots who are usually hung-up on a single issue.
These include (but are not limited too) the tree huggers, the homosexuals, the no growthers, the anti-humans, the animal lovers, the bicyclists, the conservative haters, the socialists, the communists, the obstructionists, the perverts, feminists, the police haters, the illegal aliens, the pot smokers and not to forget the many kinky religionists.
These are the folks that make up Obama's support base . . . and he has promised a piece of candy for each and with their names on them.
And that is what the Embracing Diversity campaign is all about as that allows each group to exchange overlooking each others separate fanatical perversions for the sake of their collective cause.

Walgreen's to the Rescue!
They are busy with establishing what they call "Minute Clinics" in many of their Pharmacies across the US where anybody can walk in and receive minor medical care "quickly" and without having to wait in line at an Urgent Care Facility operated as branches of a local Hospital.
Note: You know, the out-reach medical facilities created to capture as much of the Tax supported Social Service money as possible.
Yes, for-profit businesses where a patients cash and/or Private Insurance covers the cost of the medical services provided.
Imagine not having to sit for hours in a waiting room over-flowing with Welfare Drones, Illegal Aliens and all their out-of-control spawnings.
I have a hunch these will go a long way to help reduce medical costs at least for simple doctor visit services.

Who Gives a Fat Rat?
I have come to understand the Oregon State Police and ODOT are not interested in conducting what they describe as Traffic Accident Reconstruction Investigations (those multi-hour, traffic jamming studies of an accident scene that measures and documents every blade of grass and speck of sand over a wide area) if it looks as their is not or a possibility of a fatality resulting from the incident.
If persons involved are simply maimed for life it doesn't concern them as much. Not such a worry as to who, had done what, and when?
This confirms my earlier understanding the purpose of these constant and budget busting investigations are not to give fodder to attorneys or establish fault, but only to determine if those persons involved were wearing their set-belts and the if the air-bags operated properly.
Allowing these Economy Killing traffic jams to continue is absurd with knowing that Oregon is now going for its Fourth month of recession and gas prices are pushing towards $4.50 a gallon.
All this waste so members of ODOT's over-bloated engineering staff can crunch numbers as to the effectiveness of motor vehicle safety restraints.
As I said, Who Gives a Fat Rat other than the ODOT staff?

All hail Toyota, but why?
With many people praising Toyota for their responsibility in developing Hybrid vehicles and bashing Detroit for not following suit, I find it curious that when driving past Capital Chevrolet I see what looks an equal amount of Huge pickups and SUVs on the adjoining Capitol Toyota parking lot.
Golly, as I recall Toyota started making nothing but small cars and GM started with only big.
So who was moving in the wrong direction and who was building cars and trucks Americans wanted to buy?

Nut'en to Worry About!
News headlines have it, 350 gas station owners in New Jersey have been cited for cheating their gas customers. Playing games with the pumps they were.
We have little to worry about as Oregon's strict environmental laws have driven most independent gas station owners out of business as they were unable to afford the expenses of meeting the extreme standards.
This leaves Oregonians at the mercy of Big Corporations including the Big Oil Company themselves.
You see, cutting out the middle-man helps the Big Oil Fat Cats to accumulate more Billions.

Saving the Pig Farm!
Today, China unexpectedly raised their retail gasoline and diesel prices by up to 18 percent in one swell foop.
The Chinese government can do that without an argument.
China's concern is, they fear the US and other consumers of their products are in mortal danger of economic collapse as a direct result of high fuel costs and if that were to happen they would lose their best customers and their huge dollar collection would become worthless.
So in good Bing Fa fashion they have opted to take some pressure off the world market by slowing their own explosive consumption of petroleum fuels and thereby Save the Pig Farm.
This course of action will allow them to continuing using the US dollars they collect to buy the United States, one Sovereign Investment Fund acquisition at a time.
You know, buying little businesses like Citibank and loan money to the State of Oregon so they can payout tax refunds.
Me not complain. It seems the only people concerned about our economic future speak either Arabic or Chinese.
It sure is nice to have such caring friends. To them I say Shookrun or Shi-shi, respectively.
Sub-prime Sublime!
News has it that over 400 people in Real Estate have been indicted since March (including dozens over the last two days) and that over their involvement in the Sub-prime Mortgage mess.
It took the Feds till March to discover the financial data provided by Lupe and Pedro was phony as their name and Social Security Numbers.
After all this Real Estate rip-off has only been running strong for over six years.

Missing the Point!
Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is awarding the Oregon State Police with a Grant to fund overtime traffic enforcement of Highway 99E between Salem and Woodburn that is an established "Traffic Safety Corridor."
Traffic Safety Corridors are stretches of Oregon highway where ODOT places Signs on both ends that inform travelers they are entering areas where traffic fines are doubled.
In this particular case the Message Point to travelers should be they are "Entering Blood Alley" where motor vehicle collisions are as common as the Drunken Illegal Alien Drivers that cause them.
I never imagined Embracing Diversity included Head-on road slaughter.

Well done KGW TV-8
I was pleased to see KGW TV-8's news crew covering the friends and family of Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Kelly Fredenburg who took time to visit the site on US Hwy 99W where he died needlessly one year ago today.
It would have been better if they had also reported the capture of Slimeball Coward Alfredo De Jesus–Ascencio who is responsible for Deputy Fredenburg's death, but they didn't because he walks free today.
Many won't soon forget the death of Deputy Fredenburg nor will they forget about Alfredo De Jesus–Ascencio.
The Wanted Coward:
There we have it!
The press releases and news report are confirming the primary purpose of the Many Hour Road closing Traffic Accident Investigations, are to learn if any persons involved were using their Seat Belts and if the air bags deployed.
They were using safety restraints and the vehicle's airbags deployed.
Thomas L. Morehead age 65, from Albany, was using safety restraints.
Hwy 18 between Lincoln City and Valley Junction is blocked for 3+ hours on a busy Summer weekend day!
Think of the harm done to Oregon's already weak economy, not to mention all the bladder damage . . . and for what?
We are Fiddling!
King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia is busy meeting with World Leaders and driven by a concern that High Oil Prices may bring about a worldwide economic collapse which would render their amassed assets to a value of ashes.
Meanwhile, Environmentalists continue blocking efforts to harvest our natural resources.
And, all the while our leaders are discussing windfall profit taxes on a few oil executives and their companies who until now they have been supporting with tax funded incentives.

Tell Tales!
What is being offered for sale on Craig's List tells a lot about what is going on in a community and with the service being Free to all it delivers an excellent economic profile of those living in an area.
As you expect Big SUV's and Motor Homes are popular on the Heavy discount listings as are household furnishings along with lots of recreation and entertainment toys.
But what I like to see best are the sell ads that offer to trade (in part) for Lawn & Garden tools.
Looks to me as Pedro and Jose may have lost their yard-care jobs.

It should not be forgotten,
That Big Oil Companies benefited from the Environmentalists supported regulations that allowed them to drive most all of the independent Gas Dealers out of business.
Big Oil was not only financially able to conform to the suddenly imposed, drastic new laws . . . they welcomed them knowing the independents would be wiped out.
Now, who is it that is screaming about the Power of Big Oil?
And who is planning to close many of their Gas stations they feel are not profitable . . . enough?

Gee whiz Mom, is this Green?
What do all the "Stop Global Warming" school kids (who are riding in Mom's Super Size SUV) think as they wait ten minutes (or more) in line at McDonald's Drive-up window . . . with the SUV's engines idling.
I slipped into a Mac D store today (which happened to be the first day school vacation) for my weekly Sausage Biscuit (with a Senior Coffee) and noticed all the SUVs in line (out numbering the walk-in customers vehicles 2 to 1) and I didn't see a one that turned off their engines while waiting.
Note: With schools providing breakfast nowadays I suppose Mom has forgotten all what that involves.
How would Mom keep the filtered air support system working without the engine running? What, she might roll down the windows and allow an allergen to enter the passenger area. Not a chance as Nervous Nurse Nancy has told us that isn't safe.
It was late AM so I assume those large bags being handed out the drive-up window were those horrendous pancake breakfasts. Golly, there isn't enough synthetic maple syrup in the world to kill the taste of those disgusting death discs. Gag!
So why don't a few Illegal Aliens hang around the Fast Food outlets and for a few bucks manually push SUVs and their owners through the line drive-up wait line.
Hey, they might even push some for free if they were given a chance to ogle a few middle school girls.

Oregon's Governor has a plan!
A plan to End Homelessness by 2010
Just like the Governor the plan is simple. That to simply refer to the Homeless as those who are Dwelling Challenged.
As the word Issues eliminated our Problems, so can Teddy's idea.

Say there Obama!
While you are in the process of laying some Windfall Taxes on the Big Oil folks that you claim are ripping off we Americans you might want to include some Taxes for the Big Oil folks in Europe as people over there have turned to violence in response to the High fuel prices.
Oh yes, best I can tell Microsoft spell-check still doesn't recognize your name. So don't be surprised if the Europeans ask who the heck you are.

Creatively Progressive!
Having worked for a Volkswagen New Car Dealer in the mid 60s and during the peak of Beetle Car Mania, I learned those who then claimed to enjoy the highest MPG were equal in story fabrication ability to most of today's Casino Winners.
I have yet to converse with a Hybrid Car owner while visiting Spirit Mountain, but I'm mentally prepared.
However, its likely best I investigate footwear needs as well.
However, its likely best I investigate footwear needs as well.
Imagine the savings!
If we printed US paper money on One Side of the bill only.
We can cut the cost of ink, save time and energy and all in one easy stroke by eliminating a simple tradition.
I was thinking about Obama when the idea just came to me.

He must have gotten there by now!
As I recall Ron Wyden promised we Oregonians that he would get to the bottom of our skyrocketing gas and oil prices.
That was back in the 80s wasn't it?
So what did he do while he was there?
Yes, we have no Tomatoes!
Your Subway sandwich will be short the red fruit, at least for a while as tomatoes have been linked to a Salmonella outbreak and that creates an unacceptable risk exposure.
Much had been done (and for the same reasons) in the last year when we lost our lettuce and our spinach and a few other food items as I recall.
And, again we find the common link is our Dirty Handed Little Friends that will do the jobs we Americans wont.
And, those things we won't do like Not washing our hands after going big potty.

One Stop Repo-ing!
That's how it works for those who refinanced their house and consolidated the car and SUV debt into the loan package so as to extend the term and lower their payments.
Lets buy a Big TV and take a long vacation!
Now, when the income goes bad and the repo folks come for the car and SUV, they take the keys to the house with along with them.
Tonight the house is dark and the driveway empty.
Puff!

How stupid and foolish is that?
Its about time they ended the absurdity as Community Colleges graduate more students than many employment sectors can absorb and even enroll students in Criminal Justice programs who themselves enjoy Criminal Histories.
How stupid and foolish is that?
How stupid and foolish is that?

Over half works for me!
As reported in today's Portland Business Journal, in April of 2008 residential building permits in Oregon fell by 53% from April of 2007.
The bright side of this coin is that 53% of the Illegal Aliens who were working in new home construction in 2007 year are likely unemployed today.
I suspect that would include 53% of the Illegal Alien landscapers as well.
Therefore, I fully well suspect sales volumes at stores that support and give credit to Illegal Aliens (Sears, Kmart & Penny's) will drop and equal amount and if we are lucky they might slide even more.
The only concern is today the Illegal Aliens have established their own subculture operating in the background of our English speaking economy and this may help many sustain themselves through difficult times.
Best thing I can't do is not support any of those traitorous businesses that catered to the Illegals and might help them in a survival effort.

Let's see!
Do you suppose KPTV-12 will now stop playing the Mexican Music at the intro of their nightly report on the Democratic Primary Election?
Yes, that little Trumpet fanfare (ta ta da, ta ta dah, ta dah) is of Mexican origination.
Hope whoever chose that innocent sounding little Ditty of Diversity didn't expect any Gringos would notice.
Gotchya!

I thought Oregon was safe with having less to lose!
During a tag on KATU's news story tonight about Sleepy Ted's Gas Saving bike ride to the Capitol Building, Melica Johnson included part of an interview with Senate President Peter Courtney when he mentioned his concern of how the downturn in Oregon's economy will impact State Government.
As I recall he mentioned the word "Shudder" and something about . . . it hitting soon.
As usual our elected officials are only worried about Protecting Government and could give a whiz about we taxpayers that first need to earn what they see as their money.
