But its so . . . White!
The World Beat Festival is going full blast this weekend at Salem's beautiful Riverfront Park.
Its a wonderful, uplifting and gala event attended by hundreds of Gringo moms, dads and children with walkers, strollers and joggers in tow.
There you will see the many performers wearing native garbs and costumes from across the world (looking much as they do in National Geographic) which include many wearing silly hats and where you get to hear pan flute players while dining on $12.00 worth of oddly flavored noodles.
Embracing diversity X-gen style
But that's not all as from there you can look across the river to the West and into the much larger Wallace Marine Park.
That is where you will find twice as many people all Speaking Spanish who have become dominant by shear number and are noisily involved in numerous soccer games that's winners may be decided later tonight in a knife fight or two.

That last part about the knife fight was so funny I spit soda on my computer screen! Hilarious, and only because it is so true!!
