Have we been Set Up?

By effectively gutting the Grass Root derived Arizona law, have Obama's managers conditioned the average citizen to quietly accept a National Fingerprint Database that while working to apprehend Illegal Aliens will also allow all person to be tracked with relative ease.

Will our fingerprints will be used as a security tool for everything from protecting our identity, using an ATM to starting our electric cars and will Big Brother have access to that activity?

Following the USSR's crushing of the Hungarian Revolution 1956/1957, we the good people of the USA opened our arms and hearts and accepted thousands upon thousands, upon thousands of Hungarian refugees who migrated here after being granted Political Asylum.

I remember it well as then working in the auto business I watched as many of the Hungarians found employment in the trade and I personally became acquainted with many of the refugees and families.

Then working as a young new-hire at a new car dealer, I suddenly found myself competing for work with adult Hungarians as my employer chose to hire several refugees and used that activity as a Promotional Tool playing on the publics sympathy and plucking their heart strings. Come buy your new car from Ripoff Motors where we help by employing many of the poor starving Hungarian Refugees!

But that didn't last long as soon the dealership owner discovered the USSR (Russia) had emptied all of the Hungarian prisons and packed the inmates off to the USA as Refugees seeking Political Asylum. Don't laugh as Castro pulled the same stunt after taking control of Cuba.

So spare me any elephant tears for the many criminal immigrants we see today streaming into the USA from Mexico as well as from the Ukraine, Russia and other eastern block countries as they are sapping our strength and our enemies know that very well.

But what worries me the most, is after allowing the flood of Illegal Aliens to continue unabated for years the Libs (who are out to destroy the USA) will soon use the violence and unrest in Mexico as a reason to demand we grant Political Asylum (amnesty) to all Mexicans wanting to enter the USA.

Think that can't happen? Go ask the folks at GM and Wall Street.

I'm sorry, but everywhere I turn I see more government waste and it screams out to me.

Yesterday afternoon I was out for a bike ride and rode past the now abandoned Oregon School for the Blind and noticed that while all the students have been relocated the Building and Grounds crew were busy as usual and even sprinkling the lawn.

I thought closing the school was a economic decision as the old buildings were in disrepair, not worth rebuilding and it was sitting on some prime property that was screaming for redevelopment. Perhaps for some use like the Salem Hospital which stands immediately next door or Willamette University with property across the street.

So, the Blind students and their teachers were transferable but now what to do with the building and maintenance staff?

Did the Union demand the State keep them on the payroll . . . derelict buildings or not?

Look at all that Stimulus Money working?

And on a Sunday no less.
The City of Salem has gone BIG in the road construction business as exampled with the New Dump trucks.

So are they pulling Over Time for this weekend extravaganza?

But wait, what happened to all the Consulting Engineers and City Inspectors?

And that happened to the Private Contractors that were to benefit from all that Stimulus Money our Grand Kids borrowed from Communist China?

Good News/Bad News!

The good: It looks as Salem's rental truck inventory is up and stable which translates to the fact that fewer people are leaving the State.
The bad: Its also time to take your profit and sell your stock in truck rentals.

The next test will be to see if the truck rentals increase again if they extend unemployment benefits.

What is Good for the Goose?

Here we have two different groups working on sidewalks and driveways on South Commercial St. SE in Salem.

Picture #1 is at the intersection of Commercial St. SE at Madrona St. SE.

In it you will see workers with a Private Contractor who are wearing High Visibility vests and Hard Hats except for who I assume is the supervisory (Watch Bird) or inspector who is wearing a more comfortable ball cap.

I understand they are replacing the ADA Curb Cuts (wheel chair slope-ramps) as the existing ADA Curb Cuts (wheel chair slope-ramps) no longer conformed to the Newly Created Federal Regulations.

Picture #2 is at the intersection of Commercial St. at Browning Ave. SE that is 4/10 of a mile South of location seen in picture #1.

In it you will see City Employees replacing a sidewalk and driveway leading to a Dairy Queen.

So I have questions:

Where are the City Employee's High Visibility Vests and Hard Hats and supervisory (Watch Bird) inspector without a Hard Hat?

And why are City Employees doing some jobs and Private Contractors doing others?

And why have the City Employees kept themselves busy doing this type of work year-round (weather permitting) and the Private Contractors have only appeared on the scene in the last few weeks?

I get so confused!

Doesn't it just make good sense?

Require all new "Electric Vehicles" sold in the US to use power coming from Solar or Wind generated sources ONLY.

Otherwise, they will be dependent on and increase demand for Coal and Nat Gas generated electricity and that will only compound the greenhouse gas problem they are intended to reduce.

This idea will also simulate demand for Solar and Wind generation equipment and that will create more jobs unloading ships coming from China.

Is that a win-win or what?

In recent days we have been hearing of numerous Immigration Raids being conducted around the country and some of the reports have explained how Obama's people are working much differently than Bush's teams.

They tell that ICE is now targeting and heavily fining employers caught with employees using bad documents and they are not just loading buses full of illegal workers to be deported. The story goes on about how that is a much better way as its not disrupting the immigrant (Illegal Alien) families.

So I ask, how is suddenly cutting off a families income not disrupting?

It wouldn't be disrupting the families of those Illegal Workers if they were given Temporary Guest Worker Status, after the employers pay a heavy fine, now would it?

Lets Bring Back the Green!

Back in the good old days we Oregon taxpayers were often able to watch the comings and goings of State employees as when traveling on the road they would always be driving those Ugly Green sedans with a Gold decal on the door.

But that all changed when State government sold we taxpayer on the idea they would be able to sell their used vehicles for more money if they were painted in more acceptable colors and of the more popular luxury models. You know, features such as bucket seats, custom wheels and other appearance packages included on their SUVs. Oh yes, even mag wheels on a basic Ford Ranger pickup will pay us back in the long run, right?

So why don't I ever see many of those luxury vehicles being offered on the www.oregonsurplus.com? You know, the Ford Expeditions and the like, where are they and where do they go?

Or is it that we are now paying State employees top dollar to drive their own plush sedans or SUVs on the job? Sweet deal as I'll bet there is some mileage-book cooking happening there.

I would like to clear the air by getting back to the Ugly Green, plain Jane sedans for State owned vehicles. That so we taxpayers can again watch how our tax dollars are being spent and again allow those of lower incomes to buy those reasonably good and reasonably priced, but Ugly Green vehicles.

Now, who can say No to such a Ugly Green idea as that?

Salem has a new Mexican Restaurant!!

Have you noticed that of all the businesses that have closed in your city, that few if any catered to Hispanics or offered Mexican Food.

I don't know of any closing in my neck of the woods and I often find a strip mall where the only business remaining is a Mexican food outlet.

Maybe somebody has a rich uncle?

The Liberal/Socialists have been working for years to devise methods they could later use to destroy the United States.

The new EPA rules dealing with remodeling homes that were built before 1978 is another example of how they plan to use previously established regulations to choke the life out of the USA.

Why continue making house payments on a home you may never be able to sell and that because it might be contaminated with lead paint?

All the more reason to let the mortgage holder have a residence that you already owe more on than it's worth . . . if it were sale-able.

Obama was dancing the Teleprompter Twist again this morning and again behind him was the Arabic curtain and some Flag I can't recall seeing any time before.

The slow and gradual conversion of the USA to a Moslem country is well underway and I suspect in the near future we won't see an American Flag in any televised scene where he is present.

And to think that 42% of the US population believe Obama is doing all the right things.

Please note I didn't say 42% of our US Citizens support Obama as I think the poll takers aren't asking those contacted if they are Legal Residents.

If our State government and news media had enough courage to do the right thing, they would be diligently working to inform and suggest the Illegal Alien population (which to date they have chosen only to exploit) to begin an orderly return to their Homelands as the Gringos whose jobs they have taken are about to find themselves without income and will likely become hostile relative to their presence.

Have doubt? In today's news its reported that more than 14,000 Oregonians have run out of jobless benefits to date in 2010 and the number is about to explode as more are about to lose their unemployment income beginning this week.
