I took in the Show!

Watching labor crews setting up Carnival rides for the Fourth was my entertainment this afternoon and they didn't disappoint.

One particular group struggled with this one tent for more time than should have been necessary and it was obvious that none of them was familiar with its assembly. That included the lead man who needed to leave on occasion to confer with others elsewhere.

They finally got it to this point when someone became aware that it was facing the wrong direction. Oh bother.

But don't get me wrong as they were trying their best, without any written instructions and not one of them was speaking Spanish.

Yes, it was an All Gringo activity and I would like to thank the owners of Funtastic Shows for not employing Illegal Aliens as I have seen other amusement ride and carnival operations do in the past.

My wife's nephew is about to become a father for the first time and everybody is waiting for the phone to ring.

Meanwhile, I flipped on TV and then it hit me.

Can you imagine having been born on a day when the TV schedule included such programs as Hells Kitchen, America's Got Talent, The Good Wife, Last Comic Standing, The Cupcake Wars and South Park and when they grow up they will consider this time as the Good Old Days?

I heard some dream world nutcase being interviewed on radio about her effort to Raise Awareness of Deaths resulting from people walking on railroad tracks.

Yes, we wants us spending Millions to inform the public of those dangers.

Apparently the ignorant fool isn't Aware that most of these deaths are Suicides and spending Millions to inform the public will only result in more choosing to follow the lead.

Besides, if they don't know the Dangers of trains I'm not so sure they will be missed

No sooner does Salem's largest Rental Truck source (located at the Salem Airport) receive a bunch of trucks to rent and puff they are gone and as usual they are headed on one-way trips out of Oregon.

Today the staff reported that better than 65% of this weeks rentals were one-way and away from Oregon, but the number has been reduced with all the local fireworks dealers having secured rentals months ago and those trucks are out there somewhere in the area and being used to store inventory.

Yes, Texas and the mid-West are still the primary hot spots for those fleeing Oregon but Montana has recently gained some of the activity as well.

Montana??

P.S. I know of several Gringos and Gringas that have recently found work after several years of struggling.

The Senate is arguing over another $24 billion bill that would borrow more money from China to help keep the un-employed from starving and our schools and small governments from having to lay off employees.

Meanwhile we are giving jobs, feeding, housing and providing free medical care to millions of Illegal Aliens from Mexico and their children.

Thanks to Portland area TV news organizations I know what the woman who works at the store about a mile from the school where Kyron Horman was last seen, was feeling when she first learned of his disappearance.

But I don't know anything more about waste in our local government such as what do the Reconstruction Specialists learn during their multi-hour, traffic jamming accident investigations and who uses the data gleaned . . . and why. Does it really have to do with a federal study into the use of driver restraints?

Or, why do the 12 passenger Special Education Buses only transport one student at a time and why is that one passenger rule also true with the 12 passenger Senior/Handicapped buses? Is that Green?

And why is the neighbor kid considered a Special Education student. He is smart enough to use a cell phone and remain in contact with his pals while working as the lookout for their burglary hobby.

And why are the government operated Senior/Handicapped buses now running competition to privately owned medical transport services that bill the customers insurance provider?

But then, I do know when there will be another News Conference when we learn they haven't learned anything new about Kyron Hornan.

Oh yes, if the news people get around to asking me what I was feeling when I first learned about Kyron Hornan being missing I can tell them I wasn't feeling anything but I was thinking, who would name their child Kyron? I'll bet he gets teased a lot by the other kids at school.

Sheriff blames crime increase on MAX line

Clackamas County Sheriff's observations are confirmed here in Salem as the number of criminals roaming through the neighborhoods have also declined with the reduction of Transit Bus services.

Each service cut delivered a reduction in prowlers and closing the line was a good thing.

Today, the only trespassers we see are local kids looking for shortcuts to the mini-market and the only problem with that is the fat ones can damage your fence.

Made it to JC Penny's today to score on sale items and waiting for the cashier ahead of me were two young, nicely dressed and well English speaking Hispanic females with a two to three year old child.

I couldn't help but notice that while the two adults were talking with each other and the clerk in perfect English they were speaking Only Spanish to the child.

There can be little doubt in my mind the two were giving special effort to NOT allow the child to learn English as their First Language and I can only wonder as to the purpose.

Whatever their reasons you can bet it isn't good for the USA.

Earlier in the week Obama and Joe the Dupe were all grins about the upcoming jobs report of today and that got the stock market all giddy in anticipation of Friday's news.

They said it was gonna be a ripper!

The expectations of private sector jobs ranged from 170,00 new jobs as a positive high to a worse case of 75,000 low.

Then we learn the high is a miserable 41,000 new private jobs and there are claims the new government job numbers have been intentionally been inflated.

Meanwhile Obama is talking about more stimulus money for more Green jobs and Babs Boxer thinks global warming is a greater threat to use than terrorism.

Economy of process?

Police arrest a bad actor, charge them with a crime, book them in jail, give them a court date, then release them on their own recognizance with explaining that a warrant for their arrest will be issued if they fail to appear for the court date, however the new warrant will not be enforced outside of that county. This helps keep jail costs down.

That is how its done today. However, years ago things were much simpler when Police would simply buy the bad actor a bus ticket to the next largest city and gave them a sack lunch. No court paper work, no booking hassle and no public defender referral expense. Life was good.

You thinking what I'm thinking? So who of us gets to collect the frequent-flyer miles?
