It looks as we have Jersey Barriers (with headlight shields) being used to divide opposing freeway lanes as they could have been on Hwy 26 and likely saved the lives of 13 people in the last few years.

However, ODOT claims they can't be used in such narrow applications and they must install steel posts and cables and take ten years to get that done.

And to think Jersey Barriers are available For Rent and they will both deliver and install them on short notice.
