Holly Mackerel, Bat man!
What do you suppose that cost us Taxpayers?
The State owned vehicle with two (who I suspect are) State Employees on board were in my neighborhood again today as they have been every Wednesday since last Fall.
And, they had with them the same MR/DD Job Training Student (who can't drive) to deliver the StatesmanJournal's Wednesday Ad Paper (via auto-route) who today was able to find his way from the car and able to drop the paper copy at the correct locations, without needing one of his aides having to rise from their seats. In fact he was out of their sight for most of the event.
So what's different today?
Its July 4th and I suppose those two Public Employees were picking up some Serious Overtime! (Is there a Motor Home in your future?)
The sad part is that today's publication is on the small side as it seems many private pay advertisers were smart and saved their money by skipping any ads on this one of the years Biggest vacation weeks.
Perhaps the Private Pay Advertisers savings will help off-set what the State is squandering in this Job Training Charade in support of their Friends at the StatesmanJournal.
