Oregon Governor Ted Koolonkowskis is soon to sign SB 1045 into law. It will prohibit employers in Oregon from using a persons credit history (with some exceptions) in screening potential employees.

Not really seeing any need for such a law began to wonder if I was missing something and then it hit me. Just who is being protected and why? Does this help nursery growers and vineyard owners, perhaps?

I suspect Illegal Aliens and persons using another's identity greatest fear is a Credit Check as that will certainly trip them up and reveal their secret.

Then a bit after seven it was Wolfie Blitzer's turn to show good light on the Conservative message. Each story was linked to the next and each one positive for the Right side and Illegal Immigration was even mentioned.

The question, is CNN's change of heart the result of their seeing the light or seeing their advertising income rapidly decline?

The way I figure!

In the very near future Israel is going to drop the hammer on Iran and that is when life around our world will get very interesting.

All the Enviro BS in the US about wind power, solar panels and electric cars will soon be forgotten as Natural Gas will suddenly be discovered as our only real option (as it always was) to replace the oil that will suddenly stop flowing around the world as we now enjoy.

Fortunately, we in Oregon will be less impacted by the resulting petroleum (gas) shortage as we long ago rid ourselves of most industry and that will leave us with non essential travel needs which can be easily curtailed or eliminated.

Meanwhile, we can all ride bikes until the Chinese are able to deliver what we need for converting our vehicles to Nat Gas.

Some improvement, yes!

A large number of the working class Illegal Aliens have returned to Mexico and this has definitely reduced the number of people being killed by drunken drivers in head-on collisions.

However, the criminal element remains as they were never dependent on employment for an income source and pulling jail time in the US is far superior to that in Mexico.

So maybe we should require the foreign aid we give to Mexico be used to house their citizens charged with crimes here in the US.

That should even the playing field, no?

Last evening Salem's 911 dispatcher directed Police to a motor vehicle accident reported at the intersection of Kuebler Blvd and Sunnyside road SE.

The dispatcher explained to the ranking officer that was responding to the scene of their having numerous calls on the accident and all of them reported there being No Injuries.

The officer then requested a full Medical package respond to the scene Code 3 and again the dispatcher explained their being repeatedly informed by citizen (cell-phone) callers . . . telling them there were No Injuries.

Minutes later a Fire Truck, Ladder Truck, Ambulance and more was on the scene and most remained there for the duration of the Police activity.

So why that you ask?

There are several reasons:

#1 There was then enough emergency vehicles on the scene to completely block traffic and thus provide protection for those providing services and conducting an investigation.

#2 Police staffing was low as a result of earlier exceeding manpower budgets where the Fire Department has plenty of staff with time to burn while directing traffic. Note: Dragnetting for Illegal Alien criminals takes a huge amount of Police time in Marion county.

#3 Taxpayers see these huge responses as proof they are being well served by Police and Emergency Fire/Med agencies.
