Multnomah County (Portland) suddenly has 100 vacant Jail beds!
Based on the reduced level of Police calls to violent situations in the Salem area I suspect that Marion County may also be enjoying a similar decline in Jail population.
My bet is there is also a reduction in the need for Spanish/English Interpreters as well.
Do you suppose we might hear Wall Street declaring more losses due to Sub-Prime Auto Loan holders having skipped South of the Border?
