I always wondered what happened to all the Mom and Pop "Pallet Shops" that dotted the landscape across the US. Now we know!
I recall there was a big Pallet Biz near Sherwood, another near Sheridan, another in Clackamas and others in North Portland and that many hired the difficult to employ people such as those who were recently released from prison.
Come to think of it, once upon a time those hard to employ folks often found work unloading and loading trucks, installing roofing, working in nursery's and doing a lot of the same jobs the Illegal Aliens now enjoy.
So, what do ya suppose those ex-cons do for income today. Sell imported goods perhaps?
