Not all that far from my home
Not all that far from my home you will find a large subdivision area that is filled with three bedroom, 2.5 bath, two car garage, 80's built single family residences that looks pretty much like any other except in the last couple of years some have become rentals and as a result the level of home care has shown a decline.
This was the scene last evening when a group of four approached a home (I understand included one woman) with two from the rear and two from the front, all armed, with faces covered and then a gun fight ensued with those inside the residence. In other words, all hell broke loose with all four invaders running from the scene escaping into an adjoining more rural area.
The following manhunt involved 13 Salem police units plus more units from the Marion County Sheriff's Department and lasted from 8:30 to 10:30 PM. One shotgun was recovered leaving two armed an dangerous suspects remaining at large in the area.
Please know that with 13 Salem Police Units on the call plus Deputies from the SO, left much of Salem and Marion County unprotected, jammed the Police airways while other serious crimes went with less attention than taxpayers would desire.
So what level of attention does this story gain in the Statesman/Journal? Neighborhood News of course, where it belongs.

P.S. Please note that some Police Units involve more than one officer.
