Gone is the Mini-Market like Emergency/Free Clinic!
Private vehicle access to the New Salem Hospital ER building is quite different than what the old building provided.
No more parking at the curb and walking in the door as if for a pack of smokes or a 1/2 case of Tecate at the 7/11.
Today, there is no on-street parking within two blocks of the walk-in ER entrance and use of the parking lot requires a driver to pull a ticket from a automated dispenser which will need validation inside the ER before you can leave. Gotchya!
Perhaps this change is responsible for the ER again being a "Quiet Place" as it once was before the many thousands of Illegal Aliens invaded the Valley and expected Free, on-demand Medical Services, 24/7.
Maybe the savings will help pay for the 9 story monument to curved-glass architecture.
