The Big Chill is in!

Lately Salem has become a very quiet area relative to Police activity.

No frequent reports of 20 to 30 people gathering in a City Park for a Gang Fight.

No frequent reports of hit-and-run car accidents

No frequent reports of stabbings.

No frequent reports of shootings.

No frequent reports of wife/girlfriend beating.

No frequent reports of rape.

No frequent reports of drunk drivers going wild.

Yes, they do happen now and then but no way what we would call frequent which in the past few years has become normal.

I could blame it on the cool weather, but that didn't seem to be of any deterrent in January.

All that's left as potential contributing factors are the ICE Raids, the news about the US Senate Bill being hammered and the 500 Car Funeral Procession for Kelly Fredinburg.

I will take a run at Wal-Mart tomorrow and see if the Mexican head count is down. I wouldn't go there otherwise.
