So much news, so little space!

Doesn't it seem strange that if someone from Tacoma had won $2.5 Million on a Slot Machine all the NW Newspaper folks would be telling that story.

However, its seems this story missed the Oregon pages and I assume it was for lack of space.

What other reason could there be?

$2.5 million in heroin off street

Tacoma: In the largest drug bust in department history, Tacoma police have seized more than 55 pounds of uncut black tar heroin they say is worth at least $2.5 million.

Two men, Alfonso Ibanez-Martinez and Bruno Martinez Rios, described as Mexican nationals, pleaded not guilty and were being held in the Pierce County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Now, wouldn't it be fun if the Police had just seized the Heroin and let the two Mexicans go free?

My bet is that would solve our Prison crowding and reduce gang problems by two at least.
