Alas poor Erick!
I recall my delight in learning Eric Mason had become KATU-2's Salem based reporter and was even more pleased when he started digging into our State government, turning up several 'irregularities" of notable mention.
One I especially enjoyed came about soon after Govner Ted took office. It was Eric's investigative report on the States "Surplus Sales Department" where lots of usable and seemingly valuable items (from cars to cameras) were being liquidated and at far below wholesale rates. My guess Eric had believed Sleepy Ted was going to set things straight in State government and he set about to help.
Needless to say, after one or two of Eric's trips to the liquidation warehouse, things of interest that had been consistently offered suddenly faded from the scene. Where have all the Cream Puffs gone? They included some very expensive and very low mileage executive vehicles and others such as several custom built, very-very low mileage, one-ton Ford vans that had been locally converted to 4WD along with all kinds of fancy accessories.
Toyland wholesale, has been closed!!
Now, I hear that perhaps Eric had been preoccupied while we taxpayers have been waiting for him to pick-up where he left off. I hope it was all Wirth it.
