Blindly Embracing Diversity has its rewards
Today, Oregon State School Superintendent Susan Castillo announced that 12 Public Schools have been put on a "Violence Watch List" and 50% of them are in the Salem/Keizer district.
Is Salem in for the much coveted American/Mexican Violence Award to go with the Tree City USA designation?
This action is based on the schools scoring exceptionally well in the areas of guns, violence and drugs and confirms that Blindly Embracing Diversity has its rewards.
Perhaps in time they will all earn a "Safety Zone" classifications as have many of our highways, but I think the kill ratio will need to improve a bit before that occurs.
Press #2 for English
P.S. What's enlightening is waiting for someone at the Kaiser Medical Center's parking lot and taking in the show when classes end at nearby Salem's McKay High School. Sorry, they are not filming a TV movie, its real and its in Oregon.
