It seem this Issue has become Problem!
Headline story: A pair of Portland residents have been arrested for stealing wire from railroad crossings. The wire is used to signal approaching trains.

Meth Heads have been stealing RR control wires for quite some time, yet the news folks (including the adpapers) have purposely Not reported other such thefts including wires being entirely stripped out of buildings used for switching and signaling controls.
So, why are they telling us now? Perhaps the cost of Mexican Imports have suddenly ballooned and stimulated Oregon's theft industry?
