Looking for a Tax loss?

While many Police agencies in Oregon are claiming a reduction of reported crime, residents are telling TV News of their having enough, of their selling out and their leaving town.

Salem police report "reported car break-ins" are down 350 citywide ovewr last year. http://www.kptv.com/Global/story.asp?S=3940967&nav=menu156_2

Here is the rub.

Property owners have learned that reporting crimes of theft, burglary or violence often only results with their insurance rates going up and their property values going down.

Keeping of the Big secret is further compounded by the print media who tends to minimize reporting of crime if its seen as harmful to their advertisers and it plays against their efforts to socialize the USA.
