Police and prosecutors are asking for the public's assistance in locating Alfredo De Jesus–Ascencio of Woodburn who is wanted on homicide charges related to a June 16th fatal motor vehicle crash on Highway 99E near Gervais.

The charges result from from the two-vehicle crash in which Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Kelly Fredenburg burned alive as he fought to escape his damaged vehicle.

Any persons with information (excluding those of the Hispanic Community who are afforded a Cultural Exemption and thus protecting him) regarding his whereabouts are asked to contact Oregon State Police at 800-452-7888.
