But what about our present Sheriff?

Word from the Marion County Commission is the new Sheriff in town will likely support Federal Law and work to find and deport Illegal Aliens who their office contacts.

That's great news.

But what about the present Sheriff? Does his name "Raul Ramirez" preclude him from taking such action?

Its not unusual for large number of Hispanic people to give shelter and offer aid to those they suspect are Illegal Aliens and that includes helping them escape Capture by Police.

This can and does include opening their residences to shelter complete strangers who they see running through their neighborhoods and that based on the assumption they are running from Police.

They are also known to give them rides out of areas, provide them with a change of clothing or use of a cell phone to call others to help them in their escape.

And, Illegal Alien Hispanic runners are known to enter strange residences where they see other Hispanics assuming they will be offered shelter, no matter the reasons for them seeking cover. On occasion this fails but in many cases not.

So is it any wonder why our Law Enforcement people have not been able to apprehend Alfredo De Jesus–Ascencio (of Woodburn?) who is wanted on homicide charges related to a June 16th fatal motor vehicle crash on Highway 99E near Gervais?

A crime (not an accident) in which Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Kelly Fredenburg burned alive as he fought to escape his damaged vehicle.
Last I heard was Alfredo the Cop Killer was in the Woodburn area and had not yet fled to Mexico.

So at this time is the Marion County Sheriff's telephone Tip Line, up and active?
