A strict household rule

Our son and his wife have a strict household rule.

They do not allow any discussion of "local area" news that involves parents killing their kids or kids killing their parents . . . as their children find that upsetting.

Golly, come to think of it my folks must have had a similar rule as I can't remember talk of any killings in our neighborhood when I was young.
