One Shop Stopping?

The other day I was encouraged with finding a person of Political Influence (PI) in Oregon, that was unaware of the Mexican Consulate's activates across the state at what they call their (weekend) Carousels of Information.

This person became very interested with learning of the Consulate's purpose is to help Illegal Aliens obtain Mexican identification allowing them to open bank accounts in the US, to buy homes in the US, to borrow money, to obtain drivers licenses, to access to tax funded housing support, to join the Oregon Health Plan, to WIC, to food stamps, employment help and many other services available from twelve or more public agencies including help from the Secretary of State with . . . voter registration.

Note: With Motor-Voter registration its as easy as checking a box on a drivers license application.

The following day this person of PI was provided with facts and documentation supporting the earlier claims (from several sources) and their level of interest increased to such degree they decided to swing into action and make some calls.

The response came within 24 hours with a note explaining how they had news. That was the purpose of the Carousels was an "outreach" to assist "Legal Immigrants" who were uncomfortable and felt intimidated when entering a governmental agency.

But the really good news was how the organization they are associated with might be able to participate in future Carousels of Information and thus encourage visitors to join that effort.

Amazingly enough this person of PI, that had been hot on setting things right, had been completely neutralized and was now spewing the party line, and that all seems to have resulted with their contacting our Secretary of State's office.

Now, is that called One Stop Shopping, or is that One Shop Stopping?
