Well now, it looks better than I had predicted!

The election is only a week away and John Kerry has set the Dems feathers on fire, Kim Suc Dung of North Korea wants to talk peace, Iran has quieted down, gas prices have fallen, employment is up, we haven't had any more attacks Stateside, the Stock Market is hot and Iraqi leaders are sending our troops away and saying we can handle it now.

All that's left is for me to draw the winning Lottery numbers. With my luck I will be a week early with those as well.

And our news people wonder why

Astounding headline: "Police investigate possible drive by shooting in Canby"

http://www.statesmanjournal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061030/UPDATE/61030008

Well, they have shell casings and bullet holes, some bullets with witnesses telling how the vehicle drove away after the shots were fired, but they are not certain it was a . . . Drive By shooting.

If that is not enough evidence then can we be certain that it occurred in Canby and its Police who are reporting the story and presenting the evidence. Its seems some have doubts.

Amazing it is how nothing can be spoken of with certainty if it involves protected people as our Hispanic Gangs, even when an admitted Hispanic Gang Member explains that he and his brother were the likely targets and brush it away as no more unusual as fleas on a dog.

And our news people wonder why their readership is falling.

Give me the Finger, please!

I want a Purple Finger!

And, I want my Purple Finger Print showing on a Voters Ballot that I have completed and one that I needed to prove who I was before I was allowed to take the Purple Plunge.

Plain and simple, I no longer trust my government and especially the likes of Bill Bradbury and the others who are presently in charge of our election process.

Sure Vote by Mail is easy and dialing an 800 number to a computer link is even easier. But who among us ever asked for an easier method of voting?

If its good enough for Iraqis, its good enough for me!

I'll bet that is the first time

Sleepy Ted was a guest (with a translator) on Spanish language KWBY radio other day.

This is when the stations #1 DJ asked him if he had ever considered running for the Presidency.

I'll bet that is the first time he was ever asked that question . . . outside of his visiting a kindergarten class.

Our differing Peep-Holes

Thursday afternoon a 77-year-old Salem resident was robbed and beaten in his South Salem home .

One, a Hispanic male in dark clothing and the other a Black male, pushed their way into his home after the resident answered their knock at his door. One was armed with a handgun.

http://159.54.226.83/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061027/NEWS/610270324/1001

The Conservative view is, that we need to better enforce our laws, deport the Illegal Aliens and solve the Problem.

The Liberal view is, Government should hold more Work Shops at Senior Centers and teach all persons (above 50) how to use their Peep-Holes and thus better avoid these Issues.

So what was his plan?

As I recall when Richard Nixon first ran for President and his winning on a promise.

That promise was of him having a "Secret Plan" to end the war in Vietnam, but he refused to tell of that plan until he was elected.

I was incensed with that and called for him to be charged with treason for not explaining his plan and thus saving thousands of lives and wounds.

Needless to say the Bastard didn't get my vote, but enough anti-war crazies did give him theirs and he was elected handily.

Then four years later with the war still raging he came back and promised that if he were re-elected he would execute the plan he had told about earlier.

Needless to say the Bastard didn't get my vote, but enough anti-war crazies did give him theirs and he was elected handily.

So what was his plan?

Now why do ya suppose that?

News has it, those seeking votes in the upcoming election are Not spending much time or money in reaching out to the Spanish Speaking population.

Diversity I can embrace!!

Over the past few years I have noticed that when needing any handy-man help the number of classified ads for businesses offering such services was declining at a rapid rate and today I can only find a comparative a few.

This was troubling with not knowing where had all the Good Guys gone. Did all the Illegal Aliens run them out of business?

Now, I am finding that I had only been partially correct. Yes the majority have been driven out by the Illegals, however many are still offering the same services but now as part of the Business Sub-culture. Monkey see, monkey do!

Many have shed the business name, shed the expensive business phone listing, shed the yellow pages, shed the business license, shed the Builders Board required bond & insurance and as a result are now are able to compete well with the Illegal Aliens.

Yippee, as now with asking around the neighborhood I can find folks to help with paint work, gutter cleaning and carpentry repairs for a good deal less.

And, I don't need to deal with people who pretend their not understanding my language is a good excuse for poor quality or incomplete work. No comprende, BS!!

Perhaps now (as it was many years ago) I can find people to fix my sprinkler system without having to pay for their bevy of State Certifications and replace a toilet without having to pay the City their New Fixture fee.

Now, this is the kind of Diversity I can embrace!!

If Ron Saxton were to lose

the Marion County Vote it would confirm to all Oregon taxpayers that a majority of State employees (and those who earn incomes in support of State government) see their contributions as being unworthy and expendable.

Department managers might want to re-think their support for Teddy K. as his winning would trigger a Taxpayer Revolt that would take everything down.

Did you happen to catch that story?

The story about OHSU's newly hired metallurgist? The person who had used a microscope (where previously employed) in discovering that defective Rivets may have been the cause of the Titanic sinking.

Note: Isn't the Titanic sinking under ODOT's jurisdiction?

Golly I'm impressed, but wasn't the Rivet issue (problem) discovered some years ago?

So what are we to make of this "Breaking News" story that has a strange smell to it?

Are we being told that science has made great strides in metals?

Are we being conditioned to accept the fact that OHSU routinely utilizes the services of a staff metallurgist?

Are we being conditioned to accept that OHSU has hired a staff metallurgist to keep an eye on the Tram cables and tower?

Are we being conditioned to accept that a OHSU staff metallurgist will suddenly discover (on her own free time as a hobby) the Steel Bridge (which carries TriMet's Light Rail) has similar Rivet Issues (problems) as what plagued the Titanic?

Excuse me. Perhaps a strong George Gust has flipped a page in my copy of Big Brother Neil's Play Book.

I knew there was something in the wind!

Friday, October 20, 2006

You see that?

The TV News story where the Camera Crew went along with the Police as they raided several residences and took several men in custody on out-standing warrants for Domestic Violence (beating their female partners).

Amazingly enough, of the four dudes they cuffed and hauled away the first three were Hispanic and then we saw them net a Gringo.

During the piece we learned the Gringo's name and got lots of face pics whereas the Hispanics were only seen in mini-glimpses at best but enough to know who they were but without any names.

So why didn't the Hispanic woman beaters denied their minutes of fame in the spotlight.

I got it! Racist cops, racist courts, racist TV news people and racist TV news viewers.

Give me some time to get the hang of this Racist role.

Treading Water in Mid-Valley

It seems Salem has become the State of Hibernation as it awaits the Gubernatorial Election.

Bad news if you were planning to sell Real Estate, fast!

This I suspect is driven by the Real fear that Tax-and-Spend Ted is on his way out.

Rumor has it, Teddy is Toast!

Think what would happen to Salem's economy if 2000 ODOT employees and 50,000 Illegal Aliens suddenly found their Gravy Hose had gone dry.

That kind of pain and suffering I welcome as I know the process of Redistribution of Wealth can bring a certain amount of discomfort to many.

Bring it on!!

Note: If I were a manager of a State office and wanted to sway an election, I might be inclined to post an employee roster revealing employee hire-dates which might inspire some of the more recent staff additions to become politically active.

Basic Question!

Just visited our local FedEx Kinko's and soon discovered that half the employees were Hispanic.

Why not, as over half the customers were Hispanic.

I really appreciated how one Hispanic employee was helping a Hispanic customer set-up a machine for a Big print of collated pages. I waited as they were given instructions, several times over.

The best part was it looks as they were preparing to mass print copies taken from an obviously bound publication. A book!

I had always understood that was a Big Naughty for copy professionals to help customers in such an effort as the copying was likely a Copyright infringement.

That was when I noticed the book was printed in Spanish.

The basic question: Are Copyright Infringements Illegal or just administrative rule violations if they are printed in Spanish?

Open letter to Gubner Kulongowski

RE: Pay Day Lenders

Please know the existence of Pay Day Lenders in Oregon indicates a problem exists with a specific class of people who are often finding themselves unable to meet their financial responsibilities.

Its a product of a Bad economy, stupid!

It is their decision to borrow from these lenders and that usually with discovering the Loan premium is less than the loss suffered if they were to not fulfill those responsibilities.

Loan fees will cost the borrower money. Late fees can cost them the ability to borrow money.

But then, perhaps more people with bad credit helps government build a case for more social support programs and thus grow the bureaucracy

Fraudulent use of an Authentic Document

Don't ya just love that Negative/Positive headline?

This AM the StatesmanJournal story explains: The 17-year-old girl being held on murder charges in the death of her infant son, may have falsely used another persons authentic birth certificate when she gave birth.

It seems the StatesmanJournal reporter sees this as being different than using an entirely False ID. It beats me!

Perhaps the reporter is better attune with the Mental processes of those who by societal tradition give less value to Honesty and Human life.

Headline: Portland airport's de-icing system harms fish

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

At the same time our Emergency Service Environmental Clean-up people are recovering spills (mostly coolant) from Motor Vehicle Accidents (much of which is now bio-degradable) at a cost in excess of $5,000 a gallon of fluid recovered, our Airports are dumping Good Old Fashioned Glycol Antifreeze on the planes and resulting runways by the thousands of tons and have been for many, many years.

This makes as much sense as shipping our hazardous chemical waste and old plastic to China for dumping and burning in open pits (providing it wasn't dumped in the ocean first) and then importing logs from where the forests are being stripped of vegetation so as to make a fast buck today.

Ocean Dead Zone anybody??

So where you boys headed with that tank-truck filled with hazardous waste?

Perhaps we can off-set that harm by paying 20% more for Wind generated electricity.

It looks as the disease is spreading!

The recently arrested Albany Felon who possessed a Saw-Off Shotgun (among other items like Pot, Meth and more guns) was released that same day and asked to appear in Court next week.

http://www.salem-news.com/articles/october132006/albany_bust_101306.php

Sure, it would have cost the taxpayers hundreds of dollars a day to keep him, but what will cost now to capture him and haul his ass home if they ever find him before he saws off another shotgun and uses it on somebody?

Note: Felons don't keep Sawed-off Shotguns unless they think they might need one and soon.

Better yet, what will it cost Albany residents in peace of mind and thoughts of safety?

I'll bet that knowing he is out there will give new flavor to walking the kids through an Albany neighborhood on a crisp Fall evening.

No more Meth labs huh?

It looks to me as some rental property owners are paying much closer attention to the use of their rentals. This allows them the ability to evict an offending
tenant and gives them the opportunity to clean-up any Meth Lab Mess before any government agency becomes wise to the situation.

Note: You see the Cops are not looking for Meth Labs as they once were with knowing the Governor has solved the problem.

Not a problem. Just drop a few hundred bucks to some of the traditionally tight lipped Illegal Aliens and the problem is in a bag and gone far away (perhaps into some Protected Forest land).

The Illegals won't snitch on a neighbor who is wanted for murder much less a Meth lab and even less likely when there is some fast cash involved.

Have you noticed the reduction in Lead Paint and Asbestos abatement activity as the number of Illegal Aliens has increased? No OSHA, no EPA, no SAIF, no DEQ, no Tell, no Problema!

Now we have Lift-and-Run Drivers adding to the Mystery!!!

The Sheriff's office investigating an infant's injuries

Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating how a four-month old child received life-threatening injuries.

The boy was taken to Salem Hospital last Friday by his mother Raquel Salizar-Olmos.

She told investigators how she picked her injured child, ran out of her house and flagged down a passing car who took them to the hospital.

She did not know the drivers identity. Detectives are hoping the driver will come forward to assist them in the investigation.

Confirm it here http://www.statesmanjournal.com/

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Now we have Lift-and-Run Drivers adding to the Mystery.

Perhaps the diver didn't have a license, or insurance, or a green card, or had an outstanding warrant for their arrest, or had been deported previously, or was drunk, or was high on meth, or they were responsible for child's injuries . . . or all of the above?

A four month old child. The animals!!

Just bought our second Microwave Oven in a year

So why is it that ugly toaster we have had for years . . . never quits?

I call our toaster Mr. Courtney in honor of our senior Democratic State Senator.

It does a fine job of delivering a good browned crust on the side of the bread visable while its working, however when we go to use the toast the unpleasant hot, soft and soggy other side becomes apparent.

Toast not!

You got it! Then we need to flip it over and start again hoping we don't end up with a house full of smoke and forty fire-sirens blowing in our ears.

Now you understand the name, right?

Democracy is one thing,

Senator John Warner of Virginia has just returned from Iraq and has some interesting comments to share.

One point I noted in particular was him saying we didn't do all we could in understanding the Iraqi people before the invasion. I agree with that totally and see that to date we have learned little from the experience.

It wasn't but a few days after Saddam's fall and we have had established night-club like entertainment for the US military staff, brought in the booze with dancing girls and among other things allowed Porno Video retailers to set up shop anywhere in Iraq they wanted.

I expect that many Iraqis watched as their world literally Went to Hell overnight and just as many Moslem leaders had promised.

Sunni or Shiite these folks take their religion very seriously and it seems that we worked overtime in violating many of the laws which they hold most dear.

Perhaps if I was an Iraqi Moslem touring the US for the first time and saw all what happens here with our degraded morality, the decline of our family structures, our promoting homosexuality, our accepting perversity, our lack of honesty and eagerness to exploit our fellows, I might well go home and do everything possible to keep that disease from spreading into my homeland.

Democracy is one thing, Degradation is another.

A lesson to us all!

The Amish people of Lancaster of Pennsylvania have set an example for us all with the grace, strength and courage they have shown the World in dealing with such a horrendous and senseless killing.

Their pain is great yet there is no anger, no rage, no threats of retaliation or lawsuits.

Imagine such a life of calm without greed, anger and hate. They have proven that it is achievable and we can aspire to that goal.

The innocent girls death brings sorrow but also brings hope to others who before had none.

Therefore their lives were not a waste, but a gift to those who didn't believe that such people were yet among us.

What a waste of National Debt

Headline: FBI raids Calif. firms in spinach probe

What a waste of National Debt we taxpayers will now owe China.

Likely as not perpetrator is now a 1000 miles South of the FBI search area.

Hopefully this is a sign

Headline: Amish assassin had 20-year grudge

The only positive thing that I see coming out of all this is how the News people are reporting "the killer had Mental Problems" and didn't try to soft-sell us psycho-babble crap about him suffering from "Unaddressed Mental Health . . . Issues."

And again tonight in a Portland story on KATU News, it was said of the crazy that invaded two separate homes in SW Portland last night, that he had Mental . . . Problems!

In my book all the Human Services Workshop Psycho-babble about "Addressing Mental Health Issues" has only made things worse.

Hopefully this is a sign that our Nation is beginning to recognize what ails us and is getting about fixing what needs fixed.

This can start with people in the News biz being honest and telling the pubic how it really is, as Insane is Insane and for many its a real Problem . . . not an Issue to be given Dialog in a Workshop.

Does Portland have a disease?

A friend just returned from working in a sales booth at the Portland Home Improvement and Remodeling Show.

They tell me is was like a morgue with empty booths and exhibitors resorting to all the silly time-burning games they usually enjoy while waiting for the doors to close. Air-bowling in the isles always works well as it also delivers a strong message to the show promoters that things are not well.

Even the entertainment featuring notables from popular Home Improvement TV shows were lightly attended with some seating less than 1/3 of the available space.

What I find most interesting is that of the other Home Improvement and Remodeling Shows in the NW this year, all have been resounding successes.

The bottom line from all this is, some exhibitors believe that prospective show attendees are no longer comfortable in visiting such Portland events and have chosen to spend their weekend at other endeavors.

But then, perhaps its just the smell coming from all the Rotting Pork and layers of Government Corruption that has turned them away.

Does Portland have a disease?

If so, lets name it after an egocentric contributor as is everything else in the city!

Never let it be said that Osama bin Laden

Tomorrow morning our automatic lawn sprinklers will kick on about Sunrise and I will awaken to a sputtering sound along with a strong smell of . . . Chlorine.

Later the same chemistry will burn my eyes when I shower. Swell, bleach with Ammonia and in my face. That's knarly!

Never let it be said that Osama bin Laden and his pals haven't brought a change in my life as now poisoning a water supply with some nasty bug has become a real possibility and as a result today we suffer with a stiffer chemical shield.

Home filtered water anyone? Lowe's, kitchen counter, faucet tap for about . . . $35.00

Do you think we could sell enough

Do you think we could sell enough seats to afford setting-up bleachers along I-5 Southbound near Ashland, where we can all gather and wave goodbye with a Grande Pájaro as the Big White busses pass-by on their way to the Mexican border.

Vote Saxton, please.
